van der Goot rose gardens

John, Kathy, Mom and I had a great lunch at Anne & Jerry's, the we went to the van der Goot rose gardens in Franklin Township. Lots of roses and lots of photos. I was surprised they didn't have the two roses I bought this Spring: the JFK Peace Rose and the Mr. Lincoln.

I ran into Kathy Covone

Hey, I ran into Kathy Covone at our Kiwanis' Police Officer of the Year dinner. I haven't spoken with her in about 40 years. Her family lived next door to us until 1969 when they moved. I thought she stayed in Jackson and graduated with us but she told me that she did her senior year elsewhere and graduated from there.
Her brother Larry is ill. Johnny is fine and so is her sister. (Darn, but I remembered her name last week but can't recall it now.)
